“Our annual ball recognizes the generosity of our donors and volunteers, who make it possible for Volunteers in Medicine to provide the community with urgently needed health care services,” said Dr. Florence Jameson, president and founder of VMSN. “Through the support of partners like Don, we have the resources to continue our mission of assisting the uninsured population of Southern Nevada.”
All proceeds raised during the Seventh Annual Volunteers in Medicine Ball will support VMSN’s operations in Southern Nevada. VMSN provides approximately 5,100 patient visits each year and serves as the medical home for more than 2,100 Nevadans. Through the generosity of volunteers and community partners, VMSN delivers close to $4 million in health care every year with a budget of approximately $1 million.
While VMSN will continue to treat patients at its Paradise Park location, the organization celebrated the opening of its second clinic – The Ruffin Family Clinic – in downtown Las Vegas on the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Madison Avenue. In addition to making the organization’s services more accessible for the city’s uninsured, the more than 12,000-square-foot downtown clinic will allow VMSN to serve more patients and expand its services to include vision, dental and mental health care. VMSN Doctors are now treating patients at the new Flagship Ruffin Family Clinic at 1240 N. Martin Luther King Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89106. View Ball Program Book
