What inspired you to join Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada?
When you see a group of medical professionals who are inspired to give their time and skills to help those who are disadvantaged in terms of healthcare access, one would like to be a part of that endeavor.
What does “giving back” mean to you?
As a physician whose education and journey started from the technologically developing world, I consider myself privileged wherever I am. Giving back is providing my skills and service in a caring and sensitive way whether I am reimbursed or not under any circumstances, especially to those who are handicapped in terms of access.
Why do you enjoy making Las Vegas your home?
I have lived in Southern Nevada for 10 years, half of my stay in the United States. This is the place that I have felt most welcome and most appreciated and subsequently most at home. I feel a duty to serve in any way possible.
