Meet our Staff
Dr. Rebecca Edgeworth
Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada is extremely lucky to have Dr. Rebecca Edgeworth join our group. Born into a military family in Las Vegas, Dr. Edgeworth lived in numerous states throughout the USA while growing up, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska and Texas. She attended undergraduate college in Florida and received her Medical Degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine at UMC, choosing to return to her roots. Dr. Edgeworth has been involved in community volunteerism for a number of years with the Medical Reserve Corps, American Lung Association and other community health groups. Her reasons for joining VMSN and the positive rewards it gives her run very deep. “I feel I’m able to help patients most in need in our community, especially the VMSN patient population. I feel as though I’ve made a real difference in our patients’ lives, helping to educate them to be proactive in their own healthcare and assisting them with the tools they need to be healthier.” Dr. Edgeworth enjoys traveling, photography and ethnic cooking, and is committed to improving her already quite fluent Spanish and Tagalog language skills.
